Lead Times:Whilst production lead times can vary due to seasonal factors, we can usually ship within a couple of weeks from receipt of order. Please work on the following shipping times as per the listing below and don’t forget to add another 5-7 days at the destination port for unloading, customs clearance and onward delivery to the destination.
Please remember our prices include loading, delivery to UK port, onward shipment and insurance. All “additional costs” eg duty, vat, inland delivery are all for the customer’s account Which container and ladder mix is best?We often are asked “how many ladders or what mix of ladders can I fit in to a container?"
As freight costs form a significant part of the total cost of the ladder, its important to makesure that we fully utilise the space in the container to avoid shipping expensive “fresh air”. We load two sizes of container – a 20’ and 40’ High Cube. 20’ Container A 20’ container has a length of 6m but the maximum length of ladder we can fit in is 5.5motherwise the doors won’t close! As with a 40’ container we can stack 5 columns across and 36 rows high, hence a total number of 180 ladders. We can load anymix of 3m, 4m, 5m or 5.5m’s, (max 990m of ladders). A 20’ container is not the most economical way to ship ladders due to their cost (compared to a 40’) nor does it offer the full range of length option - the maximum length is of ladder is 5.5m. 40' Container With a 40’ High Cube Container we have plenty of options. We can load 5 columns across and 38 rows high but, as the floor of a 40’ container is 12m, we can load several combinations, for example; 2 x 6m, 4 x 3m, 3 x 4m, 1 x 7m plus 1 x 5m, 1 x 8m plus 1 x 4m, 1x 9m plus 1 x 3m. This way we can use up all the space thereby minimising the freight cost per ladder. The only thing we must be careful of is that we have to load the same number of 5m as 7m ladders if we are to minimise the freight cost per metre, similarly we have to load the same number of 4m as 8m ladders. In summary, the way to achieve the best price for our international markets is to choose a 40’ High Cube container where, with careful planning, we can load up to 2280m of ladders(using the formula above). Sometimes it’s not possible achieve the optimum mix due to demand however please ask us to help with the mix to offer you the very best price. Please Contact Us To Discuss And Enquiries You May Have.

Where we ship to:Whilst the domestic market (UK and Ireland) accounts for approximately 40% of our production, our export markets make up the balance. These markets are both important to us and form an increasing share of the total.
